Biography

Dr. Skoll completed her MD at the University of Saskatchewan in 1982, followed by rotating internship at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria.

Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at McGill University was completed in 1988, and she went on to sub-specialty fellowship training at the University of Tennessee, Memphis from 1988-1990.

Dr. Skoll was on faculty at the University of Montreal, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1990 – 2001.  At that time, she moved to Vancouver and took a faculty position in the Division of MFM, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UBC.

Dr. Skoll has been active at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, having served for many years on the exam board, including 4 years as Chair of the Examinations in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Since 2010, she has been the Chair of the Specialty Committee in Obstetrics and Gynecology for the Royal College.  She is also a member of the Assessment Committee of the Royal College and the Specialty Standards Review Committee.

Dr. Skoll is the president of the Canadian Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine 2014-2016.
